How Betty Crocker Has Failed Me

I learned about this on accident. A truly tragic discovery.

Betty Crocker has discontinued Rainbow Chip frosting!

While browsing the various baking mixes at the grocery store, I glanced over at the frostings thinking I might pick up a jar of Rainbow Chip frosting to make cupcakes.  What I found instead of the delicious and non-replicable flavor of Rainbow Chip, was a cheap replacement called "Rainbow Sprinkle." It's really just regular vanilla frosting and plain sprinkles. Not the same, Betty Crocker! How dare you!

Outrage is beginning to fill the internet I found, as I was looking up where to find Rainbow Chip. Just read some of the backlash on Betty Crocker's Rainbow Chip listing. It's becoming almost impossible to locate apparently outside of a few Walmart stores and maybe Safeway. No luck for me in my city so far, but I'd love to hoard a few to ration out in small increments. Maybe I'll have to resort to eBay...

Grab a tissue...

There are several movies I love and no matter how many times I watch I end up in tears. For people who know me I am not a big crier... especially in front of other people. So that says quite a bit about the tear-inducing movie in question. I might cry less than Travis - ok we'll just call it a tie.

So while I was watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 while finishing some work today, I remembered the last time I was watching it by myself and Travis came home to find me sobbing on the couch. I don't mean a single tear, I mean literally sobbing with puffy eyes and tissues nearby. Now, it wasn't the whole movie doing me in (it's no Steel Magnolias!) - it was the final scene as Harry finds the resurrection stone and is surrounded by his parents and other loved ones who had passed away helping protect him. It's probably a combination of the emotional scene and the amazing score, but it gets me almost every time.

This got Travis and I thinking of other movies that sometimes have us grabbing for the tissues (I won't say whose is whose):

1. Stepmom
2. Steel Magnolias
3. P.S. I Love You
4. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 (just the one scene though...)
5. Finding Neverland
6. Forrest Gump
7. Pay It Forward
8. Toy Story 3 (the very end)
9. Big Fish
10. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
11. The Notebook
12. Saving Private Ryan
13. Monster's Inc.
14. I Am Sam
15. Gladiator
